Reviews and Feedback
I received a lovely e mail from a customer today and wanted to give anyone an area on the forums for reviews good and bad. We really do appreciate your feedback. It's great when it's positive but we want to know about any problems too and we will do our very best to sort things out for you.

I ordered the Le Edge Exfoliator a few weeks ago. I was so pleased I ordered another for my husband, who also thinks its a fab. The service I received was second to none, and the delivery was exceptional. I have looked at other items on your web site and I am really impressed. At this time of year, I start to look for gifts for girlfriends for Christmas, and I think this is the perfect place to shop for those 'gifts with a difference'.

Dear Heidi,
ReplyDeleteRe 'Le Edge', my wife bought one for me and I thought you might like the following review;
Le Edge
The Romans knew a thing or two about personal hygeine and this little gem updates the concept. Now I know that this is a site for girlies and there is no doubt that I am a male interloper, but I thought it was important to place on record just how fantastic this little gadget is and encourage your female visitors to purchase one of these things for the man in their life.
The Romans called it a 'Strygil' and the idea was you went into a hot room, covered yourself in olive oil and used the Strygil to scape the skin which took off the oil and a whole load of other rubbish with it. They looked a bit like curved 'cut-throat' razors. They were, apparently, very effective, but all-in-all, a bit messy!
This updated gdget looks more like a modern razor. You have to use it on wet skin, so in the bath is fine. The hotter the better! I noticed two things about it; one after a while and the other, immediately.
Like a lot of men, I have a minor problem with in-growing hairs on my thighs. Using Le Edge has, over a period of a week or so, dramatically reduced these. I now use it on my thighs every couple of days. Very quick to use, not uncomfortable in any way and most effective.
The real shock came when I used it on my face. I wash my hair in the bath. I have very short hair and an even shorter beard and washing in the bath is quickest and easiest. I used 'Le Edge' on my face after I had washed my hair and beard. The effect was astonishing. A thick line of sticky 'stuff' came off my face. Not just where the beard is, but from virtually all parts of my face (sorry if you are eating your breakfast when you read this!). I have picked up some knowledge by 'osmosis' from Alison Young at QVC and I remember that she said that dead skin cells are retained on the face and are bound to each other and the face by some sort of 'glue' (very scientific!). The more I scraped, the more came off. Interestingly, these lumps of dead skin and other rubbish do not appear to be soluble in even hot bath water.
Now in case you think that I must be a dirty individual who only bathes once a month, I can tell you that I bath about every two days. The next time I had a bath, I used the gadget on my face again, and almost the same amount of rubbish came off.
My guess is that those men who wet-shave daily, will not have that effect, but only where they shave. The amount of stuff that comes off the forehead or the top of the cheeks is scary! Now this dead skin and 'glue' would otherwise just sit on the surface giving the face a more dull appearance. Much better to get it off. Moisterising the face after the bath is amazing as the skin just seems to suck in the moisteriser. Yes, I am a man and I do moisterise!
My guess is that most men will be astonished but what this little thing does and once they start using it, won't be able to stop! Get one for the man in your life.
